There is a common opinion among 'old-school intellectuals' that blogs and blogging are for those with a lot of spare time and "less brain". Without being too harsh with them, this opinion is rather naive and elitist. The Blog is the new medium for presenting ideas, theories, demonstrations and so on. And it provides better ways of communication.
On the other hand, it is true that blogging does not offer 'evidence' of your 'intelectual construction site' ([ro] 'santier intelectual'). But I wonder if the content, i.e., the ideas and theories, is the most important thing, or the container?! Libraries all over the world are full of manuscripts nobody 'visited' and we want to produce more?! |
