Measuring Ethics & Compliance Commitment in European Organizations
In the last ten years, many companies and public institutions have showed a growing interest in measuring corporate social responsibility and integrity. As a result, a dozen of 'standards' and 'frameworks' have been developed. Our aim is to build a stronger measurement platform for Ethics & Compliance aspects, one that fits the European organizational context.
Authority in the Latin Medieval World. A Cultural Pattern
When a modern reads a medieval text, he is struck by the numerous quotations and references to certain 'authors' (auctores). The aim of this project is to find the inner mechanism of this cultural pattern and show how 'auctoritas' was transformed in many cases in a principle of knowledge.
The Concept of Happiness according to Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas
This is the project behind my PhD thesis. Several parts of the project have been published or are waiting to be published in Romanian peer-reviewed journals ( « The Concept of Happiness in Aquinas' Commentary to the Nicomachean Ethics » and « The Role of the Ergon Argument in the Nicomachean Ethics » ).
Happiness and Desire in the Middle Ages. 2nd-14th Cent., Western and Eastern Traditions
In 2007, I started making preparations for the 3rd edition of the Studia Mediaevalia Colloquium. For various reasons, the colloquium never took place. Instead, Walther Prager and I decided to transform the conference topic into a volume. As a result, the current editorial project became our target.
